There’s so much to do in Bali, you’ll want to make sure that you’re adequately rested before your adventures. Flying economy isn’t always the most comfortable and with flights from the US to Bali often taking well over 20 hours, you need to know that you’re going to be comfortable for the whole flight.

As an American citizen, you will need to abide by certain entry requirements to enter Bali:
- Gain a visa exemption which you receive in your passport free of charge upon arrival at the airport, and is valid for no longer than 30 days.
- Apply for a visa-on-arrival if you’re traveling for reasons other than tourism. This will cost you around $35 and is valid for a standard of 30 days which can be extended if required.
- Apply for a visa in advance if you’re wanting to stay for a long period of time,
